The founder of Tangger Security Consultancy, Adrian Tang, brings 33 years of command experience from the Hong Kong Police Force, where he held senior operational and strategic roles across his career. As head of the Force Search Unit and the Major Event Planning Unit, he was responsible for security planning and screening at Hong Kong's most sensitive and high-profile events - including major international conferences, world-class sporting events, and visits by foreign dignitaries.
He also holds accreditation as a UK-recognised anti-terrorism police search advisor, a designation that required rigorous training and validation at the highest international standards.
Alongside his operational career, Adrian holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration - academic foundations that sharpen his understanding of organisational dynamics, leadership, and decision-making under pressure.
Extensive Experience Across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Beyond
Adrian's operational reach has always extended beyond Hong Kong. He has designed and delivered specialised training programmes for law enforcement agencies in Macau, overseas countries, and extensively across Mainland China.
He has conducted training and collaborated with law enforcement agencies at multiple levels in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hainan, Chengdu, and Inner Mongolia. He also provided expert security guidance for the G20 Hangzhou Summit - an experience that gave him unparalleled insight into how international event security is managed at the highest levels of government.
This unique combination - Hong Kong operational leadership, deep Mainland China collaboration, and international accreditation - enables him to navigate the cultural, regulatory, and operational complexities that businesses face when expanding across borders.
